📰 धर्मांतरण मामले में दो पादरी गिरफ्तार, उत्तर प्रदेश में धार्मिक स्वतंत्रता पर संकट गहराया
सुजानगंज, जौनपुर – उत्तर प्रदेश के सुजानगंज क्षेत्र में धर्मांतरण का एक सनसनीखेज मामला सामने आया है। ग्राम सभा कुतुबपुर में आयोजित एक सभा में दो पादरियों द्वारा कथित रूप से लोगों को प्रलोभन और धमकी देकर धर्म परिवर्तन के लिए प्रेरित किया गया। इस मामले में पुलिस ने दोनों आरोपियों – खेमचंद और रामनारायण – को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है।
पुलिस के अनुसार, आरोपियों ने हिंदू धर्म के खिलाफ भ्रामक जानकारी फैलाने के साथ-साथ यह भी कहा कि अगर लोग ईसाई धर्म नहीं अपनाएंगे तो उनके परिवार बीमार पड़ जाएंगे। शिकायत पर त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए पुलिस ने मौके से बाइबल की कई प्रतियां बरामद की हैं।
विश्व हिंदू परिषद के जिला अध्यक्ष दिनेश कुमार मिश्रा और प्रखंड अध्यक्ष शीतला प्रसाद मिश्र ने इस घटना की कड़ी निंदा करते हुए आरोपियों के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की मांग की है। सुजानगंज थाने के प्रभारी युजवेंद्र कुमार सिंह ने बताया कि उत्तर प्रदेश धर्मांतरण प्रतिषेध अधिनियम के तहत मुकदमा दर्ज कर आगे की जांच की जा रही है।
यह घटना उस समय सामने आई है जब उत्तर प्रदेश में धार्मिक स्वतंत्रता को लेकर चिंता बढ़ती जा रही है। कई सामाजिक और धार्मिक संगठनों का मानना है कि राज्य में अल्पसंख्यक समुदायों द्वारा धार्मिक गतिविधियों पर कठोर निगरानी रखी जा रही है, जिससे संविधान द्वारा प्रदत्त धार्मिक स्वतंत्रता का अधिकार खतरे में पड़ता दिखाई दे रहा है।

Sujanganj, Jaunpur – A serious case of alleged religious conversion has emerged from Sujanganj in Uttar Pradesh. Two pastors, Khemchand and Ramnarayan, have been arrested for allegedly luring and threatening people into converting to Christianity during a gathering held in Kutubpur village.
According to the local police, the accused spread misleading information against the Hindu religion and threatened attendees that they or their families would fall ill if they did not convert to Christianity. Acting swiftly on complaints by local residents, the police recovered several copies of the Bible from the scene.
Leaders of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, including district president Dinesh Kumar Mishra and block president Sheetla Prasad Mishra, have demanded strict legal action against the accused. SHO Yujvendra Kumar Singh of Sujanganj Police Station confirmed that a case has been registered under the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act and further investigation is underway.
This incident has intensified the ongoing debate over religious freedom in Uttar Pradesh. Many civil society and religious groups argue that increased surveillance and restrictions on minority religious activities are undermining the fundamental right to religious freedom guaranteed by the Constitution.
